With some guidance from Karl Anderson and JD Smith, these are some pictures of how I construct a takedown frame handle. A series of 2-56 stainless screws secure and locate the liners to the frame and the scales to the assembly with brass threaded inserts. Feel free to ask questions or comment. Thanks for looking.

Thank you for taking the time to share Mr. Bartett. Pictures came out very clear. Please excuse my ignorance if this is a silly question. How did you attach the frame to the knife tang?

Ronald, not a silly question, I just haven't made it that far. The tang will have a threaded section that will connect the frame to the tang with a matching threaded finial.

Thank you Mr. Bartlett. I'm hoping to try a frame handle soon. I recently received MS Kesslar book handles and guards. I followed his instructions on my first two knives both full tang. Hope to post pictures this weekend. I really like the coffin handle and until recently I always thought it was a full tang so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks again for taking the time to post your instructional.

Two 1/16" stainless pins are inserted through a stainless 10-32 stud that can be taken out to allow removal of the guard assembly. Different way of doing it, but should still provide plenty of strength.
