Recreating The Vasa Cannon

So, this is what I've been up too guys. I'm working at the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sweden to help reproduce on of the ships big old bronze artillery pieces so we can do ballistic testing, Here's the blog of process so far.

That is so Awesome. What an adventure. That carving of the dolphin is beautiful. Will the casting pick up all of the detail in the mold, or does it have to be refined after casting?

Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing this project unfold.

Very cool Tom. I greatly admire the amount of work and skill that will go into this. Will this be filmed for a show, such as on Discovery channel or National Geographic. Definitely keep us informed.

Brion, it will be filmed for a show, I think it will be on the discovery channel? Its along with the wreck salvage of another ship, so whenever that is done I guess.

Brian, the casting its going to catch as much of the detail as I can make it! haha, which will hopefully be all of it.

Cheyanne, we're making it then firing it!
