I need to replace my old Grizzly grinder and have been looking at a KMG when I came across the TW90 grinder. I like the versatility of also working horizontal as well as vertical. Has anyone with ABS actually used the TW90 grinder? If so, please give me your opinion of the TW90 versus the KMG grinder.

Hey Dennis,

There's a thread on Bladeforums.com about that very grinder. Not sure if it will help, and can't tell from your profile if you were a part of that discussion, so have posted a link to it. I checked out the maker's, Travis Wuertz, website on it. It sure looks to be the cat's pajamas!

All the best, Phil

Dennis, I had an opportunity to play with the TW90 at the Blade show. I was guided to the grinder by Mastersmith Tim Hancock, who was instrumental in it's design, and he stated to me that it is the only grinder he now uses. I also spoke extensively with Travis Wertz it's creator. The Grinder seems to have all the bells and whistles one could want in a knife grinder. When I get the funds together I think I might look that way. Don

Thanks everyone. I also heard from Josh Smith who just obtained one. He had it next to his KMG in a side by side test. Thanks for the input, I've found my replacement.
