Thanks. Right around 1200$ so far. I got a break on some of the metal. Using a motor I already had. I still have to buy a few hoses and oil.

Made a little progress. Just about got it done. I painted it Massey Ferguson red. I'm tired of black and grey tools. Needed to add some color.

It looks great! I like the foot pedal mechanism. That is very smart.

Awesome looking press Brian, like to see a video of it working after your are finished building it.

Be sure to have hoses built that exceed your expected rated/working pressures for safety margins. A hose rupture under pressure in NOT a pretty thing!

I got the hoses all built and put on. I had a couple of high pressure leaks by the cylinder. I took the hoses off and drained the cylinder. I used some pipe sealant that was supposed to be rated to 10000 psi. But I have my doubts. I ordered some loctite 545. It won't be here for a few days. All the hoses I had built are rated for 4000 psi. It worked really well. I used a 5hp motor. And a 9gpm 2 stage pump from Baily Hydraulics. It will be a few days before I can get a video up.

545 should do it. I use that on hydraulic & pneumatic systems and never have any problems with leakage.

I decided to order the Loctite 545 and redo all of the HP connections. Because I don't want to have to take that thing apart anytime soon. It was a huge mess

Waiting on the sealant to cure out on the press. I am gonna make a video of it running in a day or so. But I thought I would post a heat treat oven and tempering oven combo I am working on. I built the HT oven frame a while back. I still have to wire in the heating element. And build a controller to run them both. I built the frame to hold them today.

That's an awesome start you got on that heat treat oven and is that a "kitchen oven" under it?

Thanks. Yes it is a smaller older apartment stove. I removed the burners and the top and took all of the controls off it. Right now it's a box with heating elements. I am going to put together a PID controller on it. It was free to me.
