Hi,
Is anyone here familiar with a power hammer by Delhart ? I am not sue on the name, it could be Dalhart, Delhart-??, ??-Delhart. A local gentleman has one I am thinking of taking a look at. He said it was originally a steam hammer and was build in late 1800's.
Thank you.
Ed
Deinelt & Eisenhardt, maybe? Post pics if you can.

Thanks Matt. I don't have photos yet, but am going to see it Saturday and plan to take some.
Thanks again,
Ed
Will be interesting as I only am aware of mechanical hammers from Deinelt, but no telling what else they made. I know they had a few planishing/sheetmetal hammers that are in huge demand today.
Matt, You were right Deinelt & Eisenhardt it is.
I have edited my post in order to comply with forum rules regarding photo sizing.
The following link will take you to the photos without using the forums bandwidth. There are photos of a little giant the guy has as well.
I would appreciate in input in regards to the value of the D&E hammer, as I have no idea what would be a fair price.
Thanks to anyone who may shed some light on this.
Ed
See edit above.
Don't know anything about the first one, but parts are readily available for the Little Giant. Their video makes it easy to rebuild if necessary. Only took me a couple weeks to get my 25# up and running. They both look pretty good!

That is because your photos are over the limit for the file size of less than 135k. One photo is 204,985k and the other is 191,148k. Please delete the photos, re-size within limits, and re-post.
Pertinent part of ABS Forum rules: " For images within posts there are image posting size rules are in effect to keep the image uploads at 800x800 pixels or less and under 135k in file size...

Dan,
I removed the photos. I will host them in order not to use too much bandwidth and prevent me having to edit and re-size them again.
Bob,
The LG looks pretty rough and I think it would be cost prohibitive by the time i bought it shipped back and forth and had it repaired. I am more interested in the D&E at this point. It is a massive 50lb. hammer weighing 3800 lbs., compared to the LG 50 at 1800lbs.
Thanks,
Ed
That is a big one for sure!

I tried to buy that hammer about 5 years ago, just couldn't get together on the price. Its a really well designed, well made hammer.
