I don't personally have a connection to this sale, so I don't have any information beyond what is included below but thought it might be of interest to someone. You can contact the seller, Jeremy Lunn ([email protected]) with any questions. From Jeremy:
We are disposing of a complete and original blacksmith collection dating from 1855. Items include tools for blacksmithing, wagon making, farrier work, shoe making etc. Rarities include a treadle lathe, anvil with a complete set of hardies etc. An inventory list and photographs are available on request. The collection is being sold as one complete lot for US$ 12,000 ex–works, Ann’s Villa, Eastern Cape, South Africa, (i.e. removal & shipping is for the purchasers account.)
We have included a photo to give an idea of what is being offered.
Alternatively, the complete farm of 1,000 acres which is the oldest country coaching inn in the Eastern Cape is for sale for US$ 179,000. It is a fully functional & restored hamlet near Addo Elephant Park, and 120 km (75 miles) from Port Elizabeth.
We are selling the farm complete, or just the contents of the blacksmith.
