It's an interesting knife. It also looks like you did a nice job in bringing together the theme, even though I'm not sure if Vikings had Bowies per se. Nice skills.

Well done!
How did you make the butt cap piece at the end of the handle? It is very creative.

Your craftsmanship and attention to detail are great, and the overall all package is remarkable. I'm not sure if I like the guard, in my eye it's to big and detracts from the flow. That's just my opinion though, and it could be that it's the Viking part of the knife and was intentional.
Anyway, cool knife and great work.
Yes making a Viking Bowie was difficult. Trying to make a bowie follow a viking theme was diificult. When the customer asked for a viking theme I thought Saex. But he kept leaning bowie and still viking themed. The guard was made wide because the customer orinaly wanted some viking engraving in the flat area but realized it would cost more and changed their mind. Thanks for the positive comments.
Cool Kyle!
I too wonder how you did the butt cap?
It's probably the photo, but the tips looks like it might be a bit blunt?
Nice work!

The pomel nut was made from a copper button brazed onto a nut.

Kyle,
Thank you! I am inspired... I really like it! I love the guard & think you did an excellent job repeating the guards design in the butt end of the handle. Sometimes our clients can push us to create something unique that goes outside the box but still works. Nice job.
