I recently took a class with Peter Johnnson exploring his theory of geometric design in medieval swords. This method is based on proportion ratio rather than numerical measurements. That was the second class I have take with peter and I feel I am finally internalizing the concepts. This sword was made in the class, it uses the design methods and proportions common to swords of this type. the blade is 1084 it was forged, rough ground and draw filed the remainder of the work was done in the class. the blade is a 36 1/2 long the fittings are 1045, the grip is maple with cord and goat skin wrap.
