I forged these two knives from a Superior horseshoe rasp. 5" blades, 9.75" OAL. Stag bone handles, one with copper bolsters and one with nickel silver. Both have copper liners and rivets. Both are hollow ground.

Made them for two sister in laws that are giving them to their husbands for Christmas. I'll mark them when I get them back from the leathersmith.

Very nice Robert. They will love them. Good work. They will be real cutters.

Thanks Brion, I had a blast testing them. Couldn't decide what to slice up next. They are cutters!

Best,

Bob

I like that they look a little rustic and have a 'real' feel to them. Thanks for showing.

I'm a big fan of these rasp knives, the steel is free as our ferrier leaves them behind when he's done with them......so great for

practicing on, this is one of my first that I was really happy with, rasp guard with stippled cap, random burls, hardwoods, copper spacers.

Recently finished a nessmuck style with a tooled leather handle but I cant seem to find the pics.......this one pictured was a brute, the chopping

ability was more than impressive............thanks for looking , all comments and critiques very welcome....
