This was for the same customer that I made the Kopis for, to be displayed on his mantle with the Kopis

6" CuMai greek dagger with Epe Iron wood and fake Ivory spacers. Snakes for quillions to match the Kopis

and the fun part, etching it

I am just realizing that you got a mosaic pin through a copper and wood spacer layer separation. I just don't understand how you guys are getting all this stuff done. So many of projects like that keep going south. (My Good idea fairy is evil).

I put the wood and the copper together first.  I really should have video'd this build but was rushed for time and I find the videos slow be down by about 50%. The two blocks of wood and the copper are actually pinned together and glued for added strength.  Once I had the tang slot filed out, I used my mill to start with small holes and kept reaming them larger.  I really couldnt use a drill because the drill tended to tear at the copper because of the different density of the copper and the wood.
