I thought I'd show this knife here. I call it the "High Roller" hunter because of the handle material. This material is MONEY!! No....seriously...it's actually money. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> Real U.S. shredded currency cast in alumilite resin. It's a real high quality product, no cracks, bubbles or voids. Pretty neat stuff, I think. It looks like digicam to me so I thought it would be cool on a hunter.
Specs:
Hand-forged from 1075 steel, clay quenched and etched
8 1/8" overall, 3 7/8" blade, .200" thick at the ricasso with full distal taper
False edge, just shy of sharp
Heavily rounded spine and ricasso edge for comfort
Rounded, filed thumb grip
Black g-10 collars
Bronze Coin-edged spacer
Shredded Money 'moneycarta' contoured handle- material courtesy of http://kobrakydexgear.com/ Thanks man!
My signature fluting on the butt end, though it's a bit hard to see because of the pattern of the money (made doing that extremely difficult on this piece, by the way)
Black g-10 checkered bolt cover
The right hand horizontal carry/cross draw sheath is sharkskin and lined with deerskin. Courtesy of my friend and master leather worker Claude Scott.

As always John a beautiful knife and sheath combo. I love the hamon you get in your blades and the handle material is very original.

That's a beauty John.
I really like that. (You're rocking those hamons with the 1075.)
I especially liked the handle material, but could not find the blocks on that web site.

Beautiful knife and sheath Mr. Doyle. Love the handle material and Hamon. To what grit do you sand to before etching? Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the responses gents.
Karl, he only has scales listed, but when you order, there is a 'message to seller/special instructions' box...you just leave him a note stating what sizes you need and how many pieces and he makes them up for you custom. Mine arrived in less than a week from placing the order. You could also ask him by email. Communication from him through email was stellar.
Ronald- thanks for the comments. On a blade that will be etched darker like this, I hand sand up to a good 1000 grit prior to etching.
Thank you John,I'm going to give it a try. I have a piece of 1075 that's just about ready for HT. I also just got the Russ Andrews DVD on hand finishing.
Clean and and wonderful, as usual. Thanks for sharing.
