Believe it or not, this pattern took me longer than any previous pattern. I didn't intend on making it a low layer count, but I started twisting it and shortly after realized I hadn't even folded once! I'm sure this has happened to others at some point in time. I was plenty happy with the results but I would rather have seen it with more layers. Lesson learned. When you write down a plan on a card, don't leave it in the house. The pattern is rather simple. It is 4 3/4" bars of alternating twist damascus, stacked in a 2"x 2"x 8" cube. Forged to a 5/8"x 2"x 16" flat bar. Then I cut 1/4" groves every inch in each side (similar to how you would a ladder pattern) before I forged the blade. The handle is desert ironwood and I secured the scales with six domed and polished 1/16" brass pins. This style is real popular with guys who like to barbecue. Hope you enjoy.
