First W1 integral. I need to figure out a better way to split the handle material next time.

So hard to photograph a hamon, and the wood marked the steel turning it over to find a good angle.

There are far more qualified than myself here to offer critique... so I won't. But, I think I am starting to get an idea of what these guys like as a starting off point for giving critique.

Can you provide more insight? Steel choice? Dimensions? Edge geometry? What style you were hoping to capture? HT Schedule? What is it supposed to perform like?

It makes it really hard to critique something without knowing what the maker was going for. I have found the insight and instruction here among the best I have ever received... on anything... but you have to put yourself out there. Meaning, I like to go "here is this thing I made and it was supposed to look like x, and perform like y..." Then, the guys here are great about going, "well, you did a great job of x, but you really bodgered up y... and here is how to fix it..."

Cheers.

Eric
