HI Bob. Looks like it has nice lines and proportions. But it's really hard to tell from that pic. Single pictures of a really extreme angle make it difficult to judge anything............often times even if one likes the lines of the knife or not.

I'd post multiple pictures of different views and angles, especially straight on side shots and detail areas such as the handle and guard junctions.

I would think pics like those I mentioned would give other makers the best chance to give you the most valuable feedback.

Just a friendly suggestion. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Bob,

Based on the photo, I think it looks great. More photos would be welcomed. With or without more photos, I am impressed.

Nice looking bowie Bob. As you found out you can get a hamon on 1084. Just does not the activity of W2 or 1095. Good work.

Thanks for the comments! Actually there was a side view that I posted and it showed on the preview, but now it's gone. I don't know what happened. Anyways I may start a gallery soon and will put more views up there. As you'll find out we are somewhat limited as to what can be posted here, but still nice to be able to look at them.

Brion, I have a couple I'm working on out of 1095. The 1084, had some nice ghost floating around, but hard to see in a pic. Some got faint during the polishing process. Timothy was here for a few days and went over it pretty good. Got a few bumps and bruises that I'll be watching for more carefully next time. Everything was straight though 🙂

Getting ready to rehandle the big Hunter you saw at the hammer in.

Thanks,

Bob
