I showed a little of the construction process of this Bowie in the Forging Techniques section under "intermediate forging".
This is "Shinin Times". The blade is 11 inches of DH III W2 steel, the handle is a nice crown stag, and the fittings are forged stainless.
Just to show the hamon.
That's a beauty, Lin. Love your accent touches!

Thank you Gary. I know that you are one of the most courageous knife makers out there. So, you know what effort I had to expend to get this done. Thank you my friend.
Lin
Well done, But then all of your work is very well done.

I'm sure that many don't realize what small touches like what you've added to this one require in time spent, especially when it is something new and I applaud your effort.
Truthfully when I first saw the amber crown that you had for the hilt on this one, I wasn't impressed but I must say that what you did with it is truly impressive. Nice job!
Thanks for sharing.

That's fantastic Lin. Those fittings! Holy Jamole that ball finial and butt cap are aces and the guard completes the package. Ditto on that stag handle. The dye job and finishing are superb.

Lin that is an awesome knife. Thanks for showing us how you are making the fittings. Pretty cool idea.
I also like the American Beauty berries in the background. Deer just love them.
