Just finished this 7in A203E/1084 sanmai Bowie slow rust blued guard and pomel. hot niter blued takedown nut with tooled, hand stitched sheath.
That's a beautiful knife and sheath combination.

Thanks. Rust bluing is really simple but it takes some practice. I get the bluing solution and carding wheel from brownells. I apply a light coat then hang it and let it form a light layer of rust then boil it for about 20 minutes then card it and repeat the process until I an satisfied with how it looks usually 6 times. Some times it looks a little uneven but it usually evens out and gets darker when you oil it.
