Hi everybody,

Here is my latest project, a bowie with redwood burl and heat colored spacers with brass accent. With this knife, I was able to overcome some of the difficulties I had with my last knife. On this one, I had a much easier time with the handle and I achieved an acceptable degree of straightness. I'm happy to be improving, but this also let me know some more things that I need to work on. For instance, I think the ricasso is too long, and the guard fit could be better. Also, I think I will use mild steel instead of carbon steel for fittings in the future. I spent about 8 hours filing for just the spacer. All in all though, I'm glad to be learning. If anyone else would like to voice some points of improvement, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Tim

(I hope the file size is okay.)
