Just thought I’d share my latest damascus pattern. Not having seen it anywhere before I’ve called it Stingray pattern.

If someone has another name for it I’d be interested to see it and the Damascus.

Keen to hear your thoughts on it.

The second is an explosion pattern with a bias I have started.

Thanks Jason, I think I’m getting my head around designing, and executing mosaics. Just got to keep practicing... and occasionally finishing a knife!

Love it!! Just looking at it, I can relate....that internal drive we have about making damascus! I know for me....I still get super excited when I'm about to test etch a piece..... then it's "OH! OH!" And run back to the forge to make some more! <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Awesome steel!! Keep going!!

Thanks Ed,

That has to be the best bit! Especially when you test etch and the blade forging and pattern have complimented each other and its going to look like it was envisioned.

My hope is to get my own hydraulic press this year, I use the press and hammers at work, and then then the real experimentation will begin.

Have a great and restful Christmas.
