I know a little about the stone but I'm waiting to get more information from my customer. I'll try to post something tomorrow. Thank you for the comments

I talked to my customer he says the stone has cuprite and copper in it he wasn't sure of the other minerals I think some of the green tones are probably turquoise since they pull that out of copper mines and the area is known for it's high quality turquoise. His dad got about a two or three foot hunk of it out of the Copper Queen mine in Bisbee Arizona. As far as he knows he has the biggest piece of cuprite in the state besides a piece that the University of Arizona has it was his dads favorite piece in his rock collection. I tried to get pieces with as much variety in them as possible. When I cut pieces with more copper they just seemed to bend and break at 3/16 of an inch it was a little difficult to work with. Here is a shot of the piece he gave me I sanded the larger piece to get the copper to show. I really enjoyed making these memorial knives it was an honor.
