Hello guys, been a while..too hot to forge and not much inspiration to do anything "new"...
but now i have a challenge, my first serious show where i will put out my works,
usually i just stay close to the forge and demonstrate how to make stuff.
This one is kinda a collaboration with a friend of mine, he forged the pw steel and i made the rest.
the handle is made out of simple ironwood, the guard is made out of G10, first time using this stuff for the guard.
i know some may avoid it as you newer know how a customer uses a knife, and a metal one is preferable to avoid damage....
I like the contrast it created from the wood to the steel <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
overall length: 26 cm or something like 10"
blade length: 14 cm something like 5" 1/2"
weight: 200 g
any suggestion is welcome, don't restrain yourself, i like constructive criticism <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
