A few weeks ago one old custmer called and said her father wants me to kae him a forged knife, but has some special request for the handle. It had to include a piece of wood he has found on the attic of his grandfather's house. According to the old man, the wood is acacia and was 80-100 years old. He sent me a few slices and I made this:

180mm SHKH15 (52100), ~58 HRc, forged blade, the handle is framed with venge acacia slice.

Very nice, all of it.
