Hello guys <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> soo it been a while since i posted anything, i just roam around and look at old discussions <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

small blade i forged at a hammerin in italy few months back, the steel is from a truck leaf spring,

started as a 1/2 inch thick and 3" long piece now is:

overall length : 9" and 1/2

blade length: 5"

it's edge quenched, was hoping to etch it out but ended up doing this thing <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

the handle is made from oliv wood, matched scales i cut up from my stash

as you can see the plunge lines and the ricasso is still wonky and really badly done, but hey getting better every time i do it <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

if you have any observations please share them with me <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

ohh yeah the simbol is something i came up some time ago no clue if is already out there in use,

if you know of someone that uses it please tell me i will find another one <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

edit: fixed the size of the img, sorry for the issue, will pay more attention to it next time <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I really like the profile, size and pin locations. You mentioned the areas you would like to improve, other than those it looks really nice. Recognizing the places you need to improve makes improvement that much closer. Thanks for sharing.

thank you <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

most of the time i see a lot of the errors just at the end, when all is almost finished

so i guess i should slow it down sometimes and take it easy to avoid mistakes <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
