Alright, gents, it's time for some critical feedback. I am mostly a stock removal guy at the moment, and this is a stock removal knife. I started about 6 months ago focusing a little on making knives in the ABS style, with an eye toward forging and working on the JS for the 2017 Expo in San Antonio. I've also read a bit about the JS test knives, and so mine won't have frames, filework, and all that jazz like this knife. Here's my question: From a design/profile/flow standpoint, what can I improve on for the next piece? I'm at the point of diminishing returns... every little detail counts. Ricasso width? Drop to the edge too long/short/wrong shape? Handle contour? Guard contour? I'm interested in critical feedback.
Thanks,
Jason
Here's what it looks like through Coop's lens.
And another view...
That's mighty clean work Jason. I hope you're planning on testing before long.
very easy on the eyes Jason...
your file work is very tasteful, almost elegant and not so over powering like you see in so many knives now adays
really like this piece 2 thumbs up.....excellent work

Very nice Jason. I like it. The blade shape and handle look fine, stag is good, frame is good. The only thing that sticks out to me, and this is strictly personal preference, is the guard could be thicker. Instead of say 1/4" stock, use 3/8". Just personal preference. Nice looking hunter, good work.
