Timothy, I like it, especially the black walnut scales and I think the geometry of the blade will mike for a nice multifaceted knife. Thank you for posting.

Looks very good, especially for a first aid any early effort. Looks like very sound construction. What are the measurements? The handle looks a little short, but that could be the way the image makes it look. Thanks for sharing.

That's a great first knife. The blade looks very useful and practical in shape, grinds look pretty good, especially for a first knife and it looks like it's reasonably well finished.

I like the wood choice for the scales quite a bit. Nice figure. You might consider giving the front of the scales a bit of a radius/curve so they don't look so flat and square. Also, if it were me....I'd move the pins closer to each end of the scale. I think that gives a more pleasing aesthetic look and it might also help keep the ends of the scales from wanting to lift away from the tang, should the epoxy every lose its grip.

Thanks for the comments, everybody! I've learned a lot from them already. I don't have the measurements, but I would guess that the handle may be in the neighborhood of four and a half inches. I think a bit longer would work out better now that you mention it, Chris.

John, that's great advice about the spacing of the pins. I actually did have a problem with separation on one of the knives. I will keep that in mind for next time.

Timothy, I actually like a handle on this size knife to be about 4 1/2 inches long. It's hard to tell some things from an image. I really like it.
