5160, 6.25" blade, 4.5" Walnut handle, brass bolsters and pin, red, black and white spacers. Hamon was done with the Oxy/acet torch while heat treating, and with lots of help from folks that responded to my post about Ferric Chloride and how to use it! Thanks!!!!

Yep, Jim taught us this in the Intro Class. He made a cutter with an outstanding torch hamon and I won it in the hat draw at the end of the week! We were lucky to have both Jim and Tim the first week of class. They had us going hard at it. Tim made a little brute de forge out of an old file during the coal class, and I won it in his hat draw.
