Finished this one ( well it needs some things like, a better photo and some leather ) Forged W2, clay hardened, Damascus fittings, stainless steel spacers, ancient Oosik and Walrus. Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

You are doing very nice work. I love that hamon, great activity. Even looks like you got utsuri. The whole knife works together very well.

Was this the blade with the pin holes?

Hi Justin, Thank you for your kind words. Yes this is the blade with the pin holes. Took it back to 400 and etched at 1500. Same as before but a few more appeared, damn. I think it is a fault in the steel. I have a little bit left over and will try another blade and see what happens.
