Hello! hope you are all doing fine <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
forged this blade last year and put it aside for other stuff mainly to make the ribbon forge(still messing with it, having some issues :\ )
so now is done, tried to stick to tradition. used the plug method to fasten the blade and epoxy to seal all up.
fun experience, will do few more just for practice, especially for the convex grind that i newer tacked before like this <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
few specs
steel: 1075 4 mm
Blade Length 13 cm
Total Length 24 cm
Handle made out of curly maple, stained to enhance the natural grain and beauty of the wood
sheath made out of a pine wood and bull leather, a prototype, in case will make another more simple one, (bull leather is a pain to wrap around wood)
as always if you have something to say, good or bad i am willing to hear what you think. can't grow otherwise
till then have a nice day and may your forge run hot and bright <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
I really like the textured fuller. Very unique and well done! I think it adds a lot to the knife.
thank you! i like the final outcome <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
