One year ago today

I remember riding in the ambulance wondering if I would ever make knives again.

This machine weighs over 1000 pounds tipped over and CRUSHED my right hand.

Pulverized the end of the ring finger. Broke the pinkie in several places and caused lasting tissue damage to my middle finger. I have a cool Harry Potter looking scar on my hand now 😉

It took several firefighters to stand the surface grinder vertical again.

Now a year later, I gritted through my JS test and passed. I am a full time knifemaker and we are getting ready to welcome our fourth little girl into the Fowler family.

I owe a debt of gratitude to too many people to name here but I love you all

I made this knife to commemorate the anniversary of my hand injury

Ladder Damascus 1084 and 15n20 blade

Box Elder burl handle with black dovetailed bolsters

Very nice knife. I hope there is no lasting effects, beyond the scar and bad memory.
