This is the beginning of a series of kitchen knives I am making. This is forged from 1" drill rod (O-1) with stabilized box elder burl and 416 liners, pins, and bolsters.

Thanks guys. I played around with some designs before settling on trying this one out. Then I made a test piece stock removal method, from 440C and have been testing it in my kitchen for a few months. The finish grind is done on the surface grinder with a compound bevel. The knife blade has uniform taper from spine to edge (through the handle as well) and uniform taper from butt to point. I'm not sure that comes across in the photos.
