Hello, first blade that i post here, this is my last and i think the best forged blade made by me up so far,
as usual once finished i noticed what will need improvement in the next knives i make.
few specs:
overall length: 10"
cutting edge length: 5"
1070 steel
guard in stainless steel, sealed with epoxy so no blood or water can go in <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
handle in pao rosa
brass spacer, walnut burl, ebony, colored spacers,
finished with oils and then polished with carnauba wax
sheath is made out of cow leather, this is my first prototype of the attachment system.
you can easily detach it, and it adapts when sitting and so on,
needs improvement but seems to work so far <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
feel free to leave any critique, suggestions, opinions <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//biggrin.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
have a nice day

Great job. Looks like you put a lot of thought into that. One thing that always sticks in my mind from some really good makers is to have a plan as I move forward in the design. Sounds like you're being very intentional which will serve you well. Thanks for sharing.
