As silly as this sounds, I am finding success in getting customers with my sheaths. Specifically the Scout carry sheath. Personally I hate this style and cant really think of many positives. Its awkward for a big knife, you cant sit, the handle sticks out, and almost dangerous to re-sheath. Yet the movies have made this a fantasy want for many customers.

This video alone got me two new orders!
plus I have started making the sheaths for my larger knives (8" or more) a 2 part sheath where the part that covers the blade, slides out of the belt loop.

I used to make those behind the back sheaths a long time ago when I was only doing leather work. Nice to know they are popular again! The loop sheaths (the loop part is called a "frog" by some folks) are alwats a good seller. If you put a button stud in the main sheath, it won't slide out as easily, and can also be used separately just tucked in the belt in cross-draw. The button stud keeps it from falling down past the belt.
“So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.”
Joshua C States I put a snap on the back side of the sheath, plus the top of the sheath part is notched wider at the top, but I think I will have to try the stud. it will be a subtler operation instead of the snap. Thank you
