New Video of Bill Moran Posted on ABS YouTube Channel
A new video clip of Bill Moran describing the founding of the American Bladesmith Society is now posted on the ABS YouTube Channel and below.
There is a story behind this video. Carolyn Fuller who is married to Mastersmith Jack Fuller found a VHS tape of Bill Moran filmed in 2004 in her attic while they were remodeling their home in Nathrop, Colorado and gave it to me. The VHS tape was produced by Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland in 2004 for a TV public service spot. ABS Board Member and Mastersmith Jay Hendrickson obtained permission from Frederick Community College for the ABS to use the video. I then converted it to a digital format and made the short clip of Bill Moran telling about the founding of the American Bladesmith Society.
The short clip is posted on the ABS YouTube Channel and on the ABS page on the Blade Magazine site. The entire 15 minute video will also be posted shortly. The full length video shows Bill Moran demonstrating how to forge a knife in his shop in Maryland and has some outstanding technique tips.

That is just cool stuff Dan. Nothing like hearing it from the master himself. I look forward to the whole video.
