Hi all, What is the proper way to dispose of old used ferric. i have about 2 gallons.

Hi Scott
I neutralize mine to a pH of 7 (I get the strips at the pool store.) Use baking soda or pH down instead of lye. The latter can react vigorously. Add it slowly, in small amounts and stir a lot. When neutral, I then take it to our city dump which has a hazardous chemical disposal place. Due to the metals in it, it's illegal to dump in the toilet or outside.
