This small belt axe that I forged as a demo. Actually I forged part of it at home. I am supposed to forge another on Tuesday and will take some pictures as I go to show the steps. Maybe some of you will give it a try.

It has a mild steel body and a 1084 bit forge welded in. I carved the handle from a 5/4 slab of kiln dried hickory. I just rasped it and heated it around the surface and soaked it in linseed oil.

Very nice Lin. These projects are a lot of fun to forge. After learning the basic process it can be modified to make a vast array of designs. As you may recall I adapted the process to forge a Hudson Bay style axe. Thanks for sharing Lin
