I joined at the beginning of the year but have only been an occasional reader so far. I have made no knives as of yet but own a sharpening business for salon shears and clipper blades....got into that as a carry-over from sharpening knives and restoring/honing straight razors. I'm in the Southern tip of Illinois, I'm in my late twenties, and I have too many questions to even begin.

So I'll simply say "Hello, I'm Houston".

Houston,

I'm in Evansville, IN - maybe 3 hours one way for you if you get the itch to hit something hot. There is a Hammer-In this weekend in Washington, Arkansaw at the ABS School featuring some of the best hammer-men, grinders, finishers and rocket scientist in the world.

If you are interested in coming up, send your contact information to [email protected] and we can work something out.

Thanks to all.

Steve, I'll certainly be in touch as soon as things settle down around here (life is a little too lively sometimes). Would've loved to attend the Arkansas event and had made plans for the MidAmerica or Heartland gathering a few weeks ago.
