New member to ABS and this forum. Been a life long metal fabricator and wood worker. 30 years ago always wanted to build a samurai sword and even as a teenager, working with my hands, I knew it would be a challenge. Now I'm on that journey. Starting with knives as I have an affinity for them. The samurai sword will be a project for the future when I think I'm ready.
Being a metal worker and lifelong tool maker I built pretty much everything and I started off making Damascus right off. Fun as hell.
I'll post pics of some work when it's ready.
It's good to see guys who work toward their goals with deliberation and determination. I hope we can witness it. Thanks for inviting us along. Let us know if there's anything we can do.

Got most of a knife built out of some 1084/15N20 Damascus I made only to find an inclusion....grrrr.
P.S. I'm not receiving notifications when I get replies to my posts? All the settings seem correct? Any guidance?
