Good morning from the Heartland! My name is Bryce, and I'm from a little town north of Kansas City (go Chiefs!). 

I honestly got my interest in bladesmithing after stumbling across some YouTube videos of Alec Steele and Jason Knight a couple years back. Between that and Forged in Fire, something lit inside of me and I slowly started collecting tools and metal in hopes of building a dream workshop. I tried my hand at a mild steel blade that took three days to complete with a Harbor Freight belt sander and some old oak flooring. It was ugly and soft and dull, but it was mine and it's still my favorite letter opener! 

My hopes are just beginning to blossom, and my experience is ever building, but I look forward to learning and sharing with some greater minds on my path towards Journeyman.
