Greetings,
Just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone. I'm new to knife making as I've only been at it for a year now. Still have a very long way to go. I live in a very urban area so I haven't been able to do any Blacksmithing as of yet but look forward to making my first billet.
I've made about 7 knives in all so far and have gotten some pretty good feedback from friends and family.
Couple of quick pics:
1st knife I made back in 2016
1095 HC Steel // Red Oak & Poplar handle // Brass pins
Since then I've started making more kitchen knives as they seem to be enjoyed more by my wife. The first one I made for her back in 2017.
1095 HC steel // White oak handle stained // brass pins
I've also enjoyed learning how to make sheaths to go with some of my other projects like this Tanto sytle:
1095 HC steel / brass bolster / laminated bamboo handle
or this hunting blade that I made for a friend:
1095 HC steel
Look forward learning from you guys!
James
