Hello everyone, my name is Landon Larrabee, I live in Lakeland, FL. I have been hunting and fishing my whole life but never thought about knives that didn't come from a store until I saw one of Burt Foster's laminated fighters in a magazine. I wasn't even aware something like that was possible but I knew I wanted to learn how he did that! I started by putting kit knives together and then moved onto stock removal. The last year or so I have been slowly getting better at forging while doing as much "homework" as I can. I enjoy doing hunting knives as well as bowie/camp knives. I have all the basic hand tools, along with a gas forge, small anvil, a 2x72 grinder and a couple smaller ones, and recently got a drill press and band saw and now have no idea how I did without them for so long. I will post pictures of my work as I get better at taking them. I would like to thank everyone in advance for any future help/advice. I have been studying this forum for several months now and am amazed at the amount and quality of information so freely given here along with the talent of the people giving it.
