Welcome back Dan. I always like to see a fellow Japanese sword enthusiast. I look forward to meeting you in person in the future. If you have any questions that is what we are here for.

Welcome again.

This is Bruce Norris. I am out of Bellevue, Nebraska (a suburb of Omaha.) I joined the ABS back in 2006 and attended an Intro. to Bladesmithing class in Old Washington taught by Bert Gaston and Greg Neely. Life got in the way and I did not manage to re-up my membership until now. I am a longtime member of Don Fogg's Forum, The Bladesmiths' Forum and am excited to be able to join the ABS forums.

Welcome Bruce! -- I'm jealous. I've been wanting to take the intro class for years, but can only do so during the summer. Unfortunately no one offers it then. Enjoy the forum. -- All the best, Phil

Just putin on paper some thoughts so you'll know who or what i am . I just want to make better knives. I'm just an old time blacksmith who thinks the ABS is something special, and if WE dont pass on and preserve what we know..... then we can ask Bill Moran when we see him in the hereafter how long it took him to re-discover how to make DAMASCAS after being lost for a thousand years! Welcome to the ABS Forum! You have the spirit of the mission of the ABS and the ABS Forum correct. As Master Smith Joe Keeslar always says: "Pass it on!". The ABS was founded by Bill Moran as an educational organization.
