Hey folks, my name is Danny Ray. I live in Acworth,Ga with my Beautiful wife Rebecca and our two kids Donovan and Sheridan. I've been forging and making knives for about 1 1/2 years. So far most of my instruction has been from Fred King and Brad Singley. I'm very new to forging and knife making so I look forward to gaining some wisdom and insight from folks on this forum. I'm an acft A&P mechanic by trade, an occupation I started learning during my 6 years of active duty. I also love to hunt and fish and spend as much time as possible with my family. Talk to you all soon. Thanks,Danny

Welcome aboard Dana... There is a wealth of knowledge here, not to mention some pretty patient guys (they put up with me regularly). It looks like you're well on your way with the pic that you posted.

Hi folks:

I never did formally introduce myself to the forum as a new member. I joined earlier this year. I'm a rookie smith in Massachusetts and I just attended my first blade show last weekend. WOW! I can't believe the warm greeting from all the bladesmiths I met, thanks to Ed and Brion for a lot of chat about blades and all things pertinent. I probably spoke with no less than 20 Masters and Journeyman and it certainly boosted my enthusiasm. I found out that I do have a good foundation built but oh so far to go. I'm addicted. I certainly look forward to more shows and interaction with all involved. Thanks particularly to the American Bladesmith organization for promoting such a great craft.
