Hi, my name is adam, I'm from the northwest arkansas area. Iv been forging for about 5 months now fairly regularly and have found a passion for it, just trying to improve. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks again for having me!

Adam Chandler,

Welcome Adam. Best advice I can offer is to take a class from a serious smith who is offering a specific class you are interested in. You will have access to his lifetime collection and wisdom in tools that work efficiently, and the process he uses to produce. It will hone subtle skillsets and give you and idea of where you want to go.

Respectfully
Michael

Welcome aboard Adma.
Arkansas has a ton of bladesmiths of high esteem. You can find the contact info for JS and MS with the links at the top of the page.

You might also want to check out the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock: Historic Arkansas Museum

Thank you sir, iv reached out to a couple local people but no luck yet. Hopefully stumble across someone soon tho. I'm fortunate enough to have a large shop and most tools needed. Couple forges, anvil, 2x72 grinder, band saws, ect. Mainly watching videos and reading to learn until I can find a mentor. I'm planning on going to the intro class in south arkansas soon as possible. Thank you for the reply sir I appreciate it!
