Hi I'm Stuart Smith, I am a Bladesmith from Johannesburg South Africa. I studies under ABS Master Smiths Kevin and Heather Harvey and have been forging knives for ten years now. I am a member of the Southern African Knifemakers Guild and current chairman of S.A.B.A. (Southern African Bladesmiths Association). I specialise in Puukko knives and have a deep passion for Bowies. I have recently registered with the ABS as an Apprentice and am keen to get my JS accreditation.

Welcome to the ABS Stuart. I saw some videos of tests held at the Harvey's and enjoyed that very much. The tests were officiated with due respect and professionalism. Were you there for that?

Thanks Lin, I was there when my friend and former student Neels passed his test. Very proud of him. I will also be attending the ABS Intro to bladesmithing course with the Harveys at the end of the year.

Congratulate Neels for us please.

I saw and heard a hen cackling in the video. Must have laid an egg. Anyone who likes chickens is a friend of mine. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Please use this site Stuart and join in the effort to pass it on.
