Hi Everyone!
I'm Michael (Mickey) Gardner, and I've been interested in bladesmithing for most of my life. I made my first knife When I was about 9, but was off and on for several years until I built my own forge 5 years ago. Since then, I've knocked out a few knives, mostly giving them away to family for "long term testing". I plan on going full time in a couple years when I retire from the Army, and want to make sure my work quality can be backed up by an ABS rating.
I move to Manhattan Kansas in a couple months, and was wondering if anyone knew if Texarkana is the closest location for me to take a course?

Michael, Kilroy's in Colorado Springs is 7 hours for you and Texarkana would be 9 hours. Take a look at the classes offered at the time you can get away, the extra drive may get you the class you are wanting sooner. Good luck on your journey.
