Hello everyone,I'm Joe Garrard. I've been playing around with blacksmithing/ bladesmithing for about 2 years now. I've only made about 10 or 12 knives in that time. I love the craft and wish I had more time to devote to it, but working 60 hours a week as a moldmaker and my 2 kids getting the majority of my off time I only have a few hours a week to learn and practice the craft.
Welcome! I'm in Hanceville Alabama. If you are ever looking for a place to forge, I strongly recommend the Alabama forge council. I attended the Cullman meetings, but also tannehill has meetings as well.

Thank you. I will look them up. I've got a descent smithy. I've been slowly building it for a couple years now. But I do need a way to get better forging to shape technique and skills. Thats pretty hard to learn without having anyone to just watch and study there technique.
