Hi Y'all! My name is Caleb Steck, and I am a new ABS member. I am 14 years old, and have been making knives for almost 3 years now, since I learned about it by taking a intro class with Jim Crowell in Arkansas. From there I learned mainly by trial and error. I currently have a charcoal forge that I use for my forging and hardening, but I hope to upgrade to propane very soon. my grinder is a dremel 1" bu 30", and i find it suits my needs well.

I used to make all my knives from files and the like, but recently I have been buying my steel and I really like that better. I am mainly working with 1095 for my blades right now, and I use a variety of handle material, my favorite being probably G-10.
