Just want to say hello and try this out
I am Iron John, started smithing when I was 12 years old 14 years go. Have studied all across the country, mostly in black iron and artistic work, though have always made knives and for the last 5 years have done so professionally. I hold a journymanship through ABANA. I live and work by the motto "You Dream It - I'll Make It".
My style is based heavily on pre 1900 tools, beauty in the rough untamed American soul. I use reclaimed iron and steel, only American hardwood handles, and leather sheaths. one could say a sophisticated primitiveness
Most of my work is custom, currently I am designing a semi-production (still all handmade) line of knives and other forged items. I teach blacksmithing and knife making and host a weekly hammer-in
I welcome you to look over my website - www.ironjohnlogan.com - I will also try posting a picture here.

Welcome John! Glad to see another fella who loves old tools. I'm currently hiding mine from my wife. All the mastersmiths here are very helpful as well as the journeymensmiths. The apprentices like me try to keep out from under foot. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
