Names Andre LeBlanc living in Colorado Springs Colorado. Somewhat new to forging, been doing stock removal for about 2 years. Just finishing my first stainless san mia 1095 core 416ss. cant seem to keep the stainless shiny and the core black with feric or coffee etch. Just got some caswell cold blue finish, tried on a bottle opener of the same material but turned the stainless very dark. Any suggestion is appreciated! thanks, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking this on the intro page..

Welcome to the ABS and Forum. I can not help you with your stainless San-Mia issue. It might be best to ask this question on one of the design and construction topics I think you will have a better chance

of getting the answer or help you need.
