Hello everyone. New member here with no experience. I have attached, shaped, and finished scales using a pre-made blade, exactly once. I am looking to learn, and thanks to very lucky opportunity, I was able to start building a forge and order an anvil and some tools to get started. I imagine I will be reading more and commenting less for a while, my main goal at this point is to gather information and get my workshop area lined out where I can start learning to forge and finish knives.

Here is the first one I assembled. Like I mentioned, premade blade, the tang had the finger grooves already, although I did modify them slightly. Still don't like them though, but I was fairly happy with the handle. Wenge wood, light coats of polyurethane, wiped off shortly after spraying. The sheath was also my first attempt at making one of those, used an 8"x12" sheet of leather from a craft store.

Hopefully I got those resized right, but it doesn't look like it.

Edit - Fixed them.
