Hi Calvin! Great to see you here my Friend. I didn't know you had joined the ABS but I'm glad you did.

For those that don't know him, Calvin is a fine knifemaker and makes wonderful folders. In addition, he has a lot of knowledge that he shares freely and is a pretty stand up guy in general.

Awe John,your making me blush! <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//rolleyes.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thanks for the kind words and thanks to the ABS for taking in an old stock remover and making him feel at home.

I'm trying to figure out when I can make the time to take some forging lessons and get started on my way to become a real Bladesmith.

To the man who taught me to build lockbacks over the phone.

Thanks Craig.

I've been following your new Slipjoint thread.

Hello Mr. Robinson. I live about 40 min outside of Tampa, (Brandon). I'm hoping to move further north in the next year or so. Where abouts do you live sir?

Ronald,

Come on up!

I live in Pace,it's in Santa Rosa county, just east of Pensacola. The panhandle of Florida is not like south Florida at all,it's more like south Alabama.

Come join us.

Calvin

That does sound great Mr. Robinson. We're seriously going to look into it. My wife wants to stay in Florida. I just need more space for my chickens, rabbits and garden. Plus I want a more rural place to raise our five year old son. Do you have a shop where people can see your work Mr. Robinson?

Yes I have a shop where you can come visit and your welcome anytime.

I live in Santa Rosa County but I have a hunting camp and cabin in Walton county, way up north close to the Alabama line, very rural, away from the beaches. There is so much acreage and many old homesteads for sale around there. You should be able to find something that suits your needs.

It definitely sounds more like my speed Mr. Robinson I'm originally from Upstate New York (Adirondacks ) my dad still lives up there off the grid 3 seasons out of the year and spends winter with me here in Florida. I fly up for hunting season up there and drive him and his dogs back. I'm ready to stretch my legs some. Either way,I would enjoy stopping by your shop Mr. Robinson you make a beautiful knife. Have you ever given classes on folders, lock backs ,or slip joints? Have a great day !
